The Challenge

Instrumentaria is a Croatian company with over 130 years of experience in the development, manufacture, and sale of medical products for orthopaedics and traumatology. Behind those 130 years lies a history of innovation and the sustained trust of surgeons and patients around the world. Continuous development and a change in ownership brought a new chapter — and with it, the need for a visual identity capable of carrying that heritage while clearly communicating the modernity, precision, and technological excellence the company stands for today.

Concept & Solution

The medical sector tolerates no imprecision — not in its products, and not in its communication. The new identity is built on exactly that idea: supreme precision, medical clarity, and the breadth of the range Instrumentaria produces. The letter I was retained as the starting point — the company's initial and a visual thread connecting the new identity to its legacy. But the forms were reduced to their essence: within a circle, geometrically and mathematically precise elements are arranged in a way that can simultaneously be read as medical products, as machined components, or as a sophisticated monogram. A single mark that speaks about everything the company does — and in a way that is applicable across every communication touchpoint. The scope of the project was one of the most comprehensively developed: we created graphic standards, promotional materials, display stands and exhibition systems for museums and trade shows, presentation materials (panels, banners), packaging for sterile products, product catalogues, photography, and photorealistic 3D renderings of products.
